Jeffrey Kumjian Become proficient at reading labels. Know which ingredients are harmful. Example: high fructose corn, syrup, modified food starch. My husband started using CBD oil which reduced the spikes in his blood sugar.

Maximize your insulin sensitivity.  You can easily do this using diet and exercise.  You can learn more at https://www.masteringdiabetes.org/reverse-insulin-resistance-presentation/ where they explain "a lifestyle scientifically proven to reverse insulin resistance, based off of more than 85 years of evidence-based research. Because insulin resistance is the underlying factor present across all forms of diabetes (including type 1 diabetes, type 1.5 diabetes, prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, and gestational diabetes) it is extremely important to fully understand what causes insulin resistance in order to control your blood glucose with precision."  It was interesting (and transformative) for me to learn that insulin resistance is not caused by eating too much sugar, and that excess dietary fat is significantly more powerful in creating insulin resistance than refined sugar.

As a fellow diabetic, blood sugar control is effected by what we put in our mouths. Try going to youtube.com and search for Dr. Jason Fung. He has written several books, one is called The Obesity Code and the other is titled The Diabetes Code. Both are very informative reads and give a new perspective on diabetes control.

I am worried about my blood glucose levels as well.  I am young, 32.  But, beginning to feel the harsh consequences of eating all those delicious ice creams and cheesecakes.  I also feel I enjoyed too much cheese in the past.  A lot of cheese are processed.  Consuming these processed foods are bad, since the salt intake is going to mess with my system and I learned that sodium increases absorption to the blood pathways.  Sodium helps transport nutrients.  This is a factor as  too much glucose could be delivered to the system and overhaul the hormone system to react properly with insulin.  The other bad thing is that sodium helps hold water, more water into the blood, then the blood pressure increases.  When that happens, it causes strain on the kidneys, brain, heart, arteries, you'll feel it in your brain.  Higher than normal blood pressure sustained for a longer period of time, will contribute to horrible things when the system's balance fails, stroke and heart attacks.

No fried foods, no ice cream, no cheese.  I am going to try to not eat any fatty meats.  Have more eggs in my diet, as well as tuna, cucumbers, avocados, corns, tomatoes, and more vegetables.  There's an easy way to decide how I can eat healthy now.  Don't eat the sweets.  Buy things that have short shelf life and are naturally grown.  Going to try to fix this glucose issue with my utmost attention.  My beautiful vessel and temple.

I have a family member who is Diabetic and taking Metformin.  If she watches her intake of carbs and sugar she has pretty good numbers.  She does walk some and that also helps her numbers.  Her best option for good numbers is to eat a salad (grilled chicken, beef taco salad without the taco shell) and eat Atkins meals at other meals.   It is hard for her to find any other brand of frozen meals that are the same as Atkins. In our area many stores are no longer carrying the Atkins meals.  She has tried the Lean Cuisine and others but some have carbs that are too high. Check out some of the books on Diabetes for other suggestions.  Good luck.

Read-up on Blueberries.  Betty sells a 6 pack of organic Blueberry Juice.  Seems to be a great fruit that we should all drink daily! I just bought a 6-pack and I'll see if it helps.🍇

To keep your blood sugar in control one can also follow a proper balanced diet which contains vegetables, fruits, proteins etc. However, one should avoid refined sugars and processed foods as well. One can also, consult homeopathic doctor near yourself and discuss about this in detail.
