I am starting radiation for my vulvar cancer and cancer in lymph nodes in groin in a few days. Since the vulvar cancer tumors are actually in my genital area, I worry how to keep the area clean without causing more discomfort. The treatments will be 5 days a week for 5 weeks. Any suggestions. If you've never heard of vulvar cancer, there are only 6000 cases yearly in the US, and it is, unfortunately, not usually diagnosed until it's 6 months along. AARP.com has the best description around.
