  • Hi, I'm trying to determine if CBD would be good for the treatment of knee pain. I think I may have a problem with lactic-acid buildup in my joints and it's most severe in my knees after sleeping.

Odd Pocket  Metabolite build up creates pain and neurotoxicity. CBD, when taken internally, helps to detox the body. Lactic acid, CO2 and other metabolites get moved out of the cells. Blood flow and CBD should help.

Some people swear by it. Others don't notice any benefit. So I think it depends on the person.

  • I tried 2 or 3 different mg. of the CBD Oil.   It did not help me at all.  I am not discouraging anyone if they want to try it.  Everyone is different and it might help someone else.   I have severe Rheumatoid Arthritis and degenerative bone disease and I am still working with my RA specialist to find a medication that actually helps with my pain.   Good luck to you I hope the CBD oil works for you!!

      Kimbo Holder

Hi Kim, I would encourage you to double and triple your doses. 2 mg is a very small amount to take. If you are taking a very clean CBD product with no added chemicals, heavy metals, pesticides (make sure it’s tested),  then you can double your dose very safely without side effects until you feel benefit.

Also, in your case, the  Endocannabinoid System that uses the CBD, might need to be jumpstarted.  RA is one of those disease states that researchers Have found that the Endo cannabinol aid system is dysfunctional. That means you have to jumpstart it, which is a process and takes about two months.

    Hi Kim,

This is all new science, truly there is no dumb question. The  regulatory system that balances our nervous system and inflammation and many other functions in the body has not been learned by the Western medicine because it’s attached to pot. I know it’s ridiculous but that is the truth I’ll send you two links you can learn about it. This system is the most pervasive regulatory system in the body and for some reason some people’s system does not get developed and is not working. Usually one can overcome this and the body will regulate in other ways but if there are too many toxins, trauma, or ageing, then the body starts to rebel and can’t maintain homeostasis.

If we introduce omega threes (DHA and EPA specifically)  and start with a microdose of CBD we can gently start to teach the body to use the CBD. We can “wake up” the system that is supposed to normally be producing CBD  from DHA and EPA. Sounds complicated but it’s not the body has a way of healing itself if we just provide the nutrients necessary to do so.

Thank you for all the good information.   I have been sick for about 2 years.   I was seeing a RA doctor in Knoxville, TN.   The first thing he did was prescribe me a high dose of methylprednisolone  and methotrexate.   Between visits with RA doctor,  I still saw my primary care doctor.  I had been telling RA I was not improving at all.   Now I see specialists at Vanderbilt in Nashville.  They are weaning me off Prednisone  and then going to try some medicines that I hope and pray will help......If nothing does I may move to Colorado !!!!

Kimbo Holder Dearest Kimbo , you do not have to move to Colorado. CBD hemp is what they grow in Colorado. We grow CBD hemp here in California. CBD hemp has no THC. We are allowed to send our CBD all over the world and all over the country because it does not contain THC. Read up here. My background is medicine and pain management and now I am in holistic healing. www.GreenAlleyCBD.com

  • My wife and I have experimented with 1:1, 3:1, 20:1  CBD to THC ratios.  Unfortunately, it didn't work.  The pain is clearly there with the high nauseating feeling.  I'm sure inhaling has better effects, but we cannot try that route due to pulmonary embolism.  CBD oil by itself has found to help us improve mood.  In severe pain, we are still using oxycodone.  This obviously depends on the person.  Hope this helps.

  • Does this have any effect on Parkinson's disease? I cannot afford an adverse effect on alertness or driving ability. The one place on Earth that means most to me has no public transit within many miles.

CBD is good for Parkinson’s, but it depends on where you get the CBD. If you get CBD from a dispensary then it will have THC in it and may get you high or unstable. If you get CBD from Amazon or CVS, then it may not be third-party tested for heavy metals or pesticides; or they may have synthetic flavors or chemicals. Dispensary CBD has THC and is a little regulated. CBD from hemp I has no THC and is completely non- regulated. What is in the bottle may not be reflected on the label.

Therefore it is important to ask for testing and only buy from a reputable company. GreenAlleyCBD.com has educational content and great counseling.

    • Ali Stoddard I have been certified for a program operated by the State of Minnesota. They guarantee pure CBD with no THC, but I have not actually received any yet. As I have mentioned, where I want to go most requires driving; there is no public transport within miles. Besides, what I will do when I get there provides a natural high better than anything any drug can give. I have known four or five generations of whitetail deer who kiss me, as my first sweetheart Sugar is doing in the picture. I think their eyes are the gates of Heaven.

  • I see warnings here that sometimes it works, and sometimes not, but it may contain THC. That would defeat my purpose in taking it; I need a clear head for driving. I do not want any psychoactive effects anyway. No chemical comes within light years of what happens when a deer gazes into my eyes and kisses me. Compared with that, THC is like playing the "Ode to Joy" on a kazoo.

Ali Stoddard CBD has been proven over and over again to be a significant anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant and neuro-protectant. The US government even filed a patent on CBD in 2003. The NIH proved all of the above and more to receive that patent.

The problem is that CBD from the hemp plant is in the nutraceutical marketplace and there is no oversight. That means that any company can put anything in the product and not label it. CBD from the hemp plant can be sold in the drug stores and online, cannot have more than .3% THC and is in the vitamin or nutraceutical marketplace. It is very important to find a company that has clean manufacturing techniques, starts with an organic plant and does not add synthetic chemicals. A tincture taken under the tongue is most effective. GreenAlleyCBD.com is a safe bet.
