How to strengthen my bladder muscles?

This is totally new to me. What can I do on my own to strengthen my bladder muscles? I sometimes just barely make it to the toilet, I can't stop the stream once it starts. I need some pointers. I know there are solutions, I just need to know where to start. I guess I could mention this to my Dr. but he's so young and I get the feeling he doesn't really "get" seniors.

Kegel exercises are designed specifically to strengthen the muscles of that area. You can look them up online. You don't need any equipment to do them but if you want some there are tear-shaped weights available that you practice holding in your vagina (the same muscle group controls both)

Bought the Istim probe that works with the HealthMate tens unit.  Saw improvement in first day. This device is like the Apex device for incontinence.  Highly recommend a device to help with Kegel exercises.
