I'm trying to find a movable sit to stand device with a large base that fits under a chair or a bed instead of between chair cushions.  I've seen ones with smaller bases that look too unsteady and our ceilings are too tall to use a fixed pole.  We don't need an electric device, just something that he can use to push or pull himself up with when his legs are weak.
