  • I usually just use plastic pants over regular underwear.

    • Ashley StAngelo hi Ashley,

Plastic pants are basically underwear made of either rubber, plastic, PVC or vinyl. Since you say you are a heavy leaker, I'd suggest prevail overnight with plastic pants over them to keep them from leaking. You can try 2-3 regular underwear and plastic pants and see if that works for you. After all these years I've been using plastic pants, even on days I don't leak, I have become used to using them as regular underwear as well. It just became the norm for me I guess. I find them quite comfortable on cool days as they hold in the heat keeping that area warm on colder days. On hot days they can become too sweaty after an hour in them. I have tried the plastic pants from here and they were excessively stiff. I prefer from alltogetherenterprises based out of Utah or the bikini style from Haian out of China. Another company that is good is Rearz based out of Canada, they even have some with designs on them to make wearing plastic pants a little more bearable. Alltogetherenterprises and Haian brands can be found on Amazon fairly reasonably priced and some of the Rearz brand. I hope I helped you figure out an idea what step to take next in comfort wearing plastic pants. Feel free to let me know what works for you if you'd like.

      Ashley StAngelo

Hi Ashley,   I can totally understand your situation because I'm in the same BOAT.

I can tell you that for the price of the Better Dry Diapers they work very well for my Heavy Leakage and Large Voids at Night.  The cost of each diaper is Approx. $1.60 when you buy a case.  And if you would like a Free Sample of them you can ask NorthShore Care Supply and they would gladly send it to you.  They also have a New MegaMax Diaper that works Great

I also use a Bed Pad on my bed just in case (washable kind) as for my daily use I wear the Seni Quatro as they Great and in my opinion, Betty Mills has a Great price on them.

    • Joseph O Paoletti   I've used adult plastic briefs for many years and wellness superio are far and away the best.  The bag is quite ugly but I'm not carrying it on street anymore.

    • Joseph O Paoletti   Having been changed and exposed for many years, at this point I am less embarassed by my nakedness than the diaper or mess.  I don't care if people see me naked and I don't get hard during changes ever so that's not an issue either.

  • I don't know.  The Walgreens Certainty was recommended to me by a relative who has taught end of life training for years.

    • Tim Fraley cloth are ok and also a little more discreet. They do usually not make much noise. I personally usually go for plastic backed diapers though as they do seem to hold leaks better. The smooth backing feels nice to touch also.

  • we started using Molicare for our son and they seem to work really well.  They have worked suprisingly well over night too. but i agree that it does very by person and the amount of liquid that you need the diaper to absorb. Sometimes you have to change it up as the needs change.

  • SENI is an excellent brand for the elderly.  They make different absorbency levels and the quality of material is far better than majority of the brands.  As a caregiver I recommend it for night time  use. It allows you and your loved one more rest due to less changes at name due to more absorption.  Also it's more expensive... but worth it.  Feel free to use a different brand for daytime.

Pamela King I use the Seni products during the Day and Better Dry at Night. Betty Mills don't sell the Better Dry Diapers but LLMedico ,XP Medical and NorthShore Care does they cost more but I use less and have very little leaks and use less of these products.
