Ali Stoddard Thank you for the info. I am using cbd for my dog who has serious issues with anxiety, panic, storm terrors, pain issues. It seems to be helping some. I would like to try this for muscle cramps and sleep issues that I have, but, I am  wondering about interactions with the other medicines that I take. Any info available on that?

Eduardo Rosario Pat Ascheman CBD has virtually no interactions with other drugs. It’s a non issue as we already produce a cbd-like molecule called 2-AG. Also there have never been any deaths associated with plant-based Cannabis, only with pharmaceutical companies making synthetic products. It’s a natural molecule for both humans and pets. Www.GreenAlley.org has educational info about CBD, as well as clean products.

Has anyone had interactions with routine medicines while you used CBD oil? I mean like BP meds,  cholesterol meds or diabetes meds? If so, what were you taking and what effects  did you notice? How do you know what testing is done for quality control on the oil that is used?

Pat Ascheman Every company that you buy from should have a Certificate of Analysis (COA) that shows testing for pesticides, residual solvents, and heavy metals.

Ironically, You should think of CBD as a nutrient that will only support the healthy cells  and healthy metabolism.  Plant-based medicine is very different from pharmaceutical medicine, it is subtle and works with the body and  works with different pathways so it doesn't interfere with pharmaceuticals. Pat Ascheman cBD is a natural molecule for our bodies and only competes with the P450 enzyme for metabolism. And it only competes if you are taking extremely high amounts of CBD 800mg/day and that's only theoretical - we don't see it in practice. If it happened, the pharmaceutical wouldn't get processed and absorbed as quickly - not that there would be an interaction. They did studies with up to 1200 my use of CBD with no side effects or safety issues.

Many use CBD during the day for anxiety, depression, chronic pain and because it gets them out of their “fight or flight” and  they are able to sleep better at night. Most people need a THC type tincture for a sleep.

20% of the population need a CBD hemp tincture for sleep and can’t sleep on THC.

I have been using CBD since April of 2018 before that I was on high doses of opoid medication for cronic pain from 3 surgeries on back and neck, I been also diagnosed with neoratophy I started on the 100 for a few weeks but felt no relief now I take the 800 to 1200 and it works great for me ,at times I have to take  5 to 10 mg of hydrocodone but I am not on the high doses opoids which I use to be highly addicted to. It helps with my sleeping and the pain I can not say anything bad about this except that I wish I would of started sooner.

Eddie Saucier Usually, if you have found the correct product for your body the CBD will help within the first 10 minutes. Tinctures are the best way to dose and even something with a nano emulsification or a liposome is better, because the  medicine gets better absorbed and you need less.  Gummy’s need to be digested and then disbursed into the bloodstream  which makes it a bit more  difficult to dose. Also many gummy’s have crappy corn for fructose sugar and chemical additives and synthetic flavorings which are not healthy.

My wife & I have been married for 3+ decades and the first decade or so she was having a really tough time due to severe painful monthly cramps with Doctors trying everything (much too soon for any legal usage of pot) and in an off-handed comment after trying many different medicines he briefly said he read in a medical journal that some women experienced relief for a few hours after.....sex. As a loving husband I just wanted to do whatever it took, so it was a win/win situation for me! Best of luck!

Yes , I tried CBD oil in the form of gummies for distal polyneuropathy. Like mini-acupuncture, it seemed to help the first time I used it, and so the hopes I had for it only increased; from the second time on, though, I found it provided no therapeutic benefit.

I know that there is no governmental or manufacturers' system of standards or inspections to ensure quality control of CBD oil products, and so each CBD provider's product may vary as to potency and efficacy. The provider I ordered from is one who has a good reputation. So I was disappointed.

Perhaps as more states (and perhaps soon the federal government) reform the laws regarding these and related products, CBD oil providers will acquire and adhere to more consistent quality standards; and we can hope that investments into  further research and development will escalate and yield products with greater efficacy and safety. I look forward to the day!

          hi DH,

Try a tincture, that has been tested for pesticides, heavy metals and microbes. Any legit company has a test available.

I would not start with gummyies,  as they are full of sugar and corn syrup and other chemicals. Start with a tincture that is clean, potent, and has no added synthetic chemicals. Look on the label and make sure it has milligram s of CBD, and it’s not just hemp oil which is kind of like extra-virgin olive oil – very beneficial but no CBD . If you want help navigating CBD, you can reach me offline.

          • My daughter, who is 32 takes it to prevent seizures.  She only takes 8mg per day. Her seizures are completely under control but less severe.  We can't raise the dose because it causes elevated liver enzymes.  I would ask your health care provider if you could have a liver panel  blood test before and after trying it for a week or so, if all is well you could possibly titrate the amount up.

In reference to CBD, ONLY Marijuana CBD is truly effective and safe. The DOH, and USDA both stated this year that these hemp CBD products have been running illegally for over 5 years, 6 now with ZERO backing or evidence of any such good case/bad case scenario. They just started producing hemp CBD and making false claims.

CBD from the hemp plant has many studies and many case studies. If you bother to read PubMed, you will find something called the Endocannabinoid System, which regulates pain and the nervous system. What feeds the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) - CBD and Omega 3s, not THC. CBD is the master molecule that feeds the ECS. If you ingest CBD, it makes our ECS start pooling our THC-like molecule that we produce in the body - THAT’s why we don’t need THC in our CBD. Every once in a while we need to add THC to CBD hemp, maybe 1% of the time, at best.

Ali Stoddard that is simply a false study done illegally with zero legal backing to be allowed to do so, sorry. Maybe you should start by looking up the USDA laws first so you can find you have no clue what you are talking about. There is no medical nor scientific data research involved in Hemp whatsoever. It was all done illegally by billion dollar corporations that do not care for facts nor your health. If you believe otherwise you are living a lie.

Dude, take your anger somewhere else. PubMed is the repository of all clinical articles, for pharmaceuticals, homeopathy and more. Read for yourself: feed the Endocannabinoid System with CBD (only) and it will make more our own THC-like molecule called Anandamide ( it will also produce the CBD like molecule, too ) Hence when you take CBD from the hemp plant the body will start to produce its own THC like molecule. That is why we don’t have to go to the dispensary to get our CBD. Here is a link to PubMed:

              https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/?term=endocannabinoid+system

Never tried CBD  just by its self.  But, I was diagnosed in 2016 with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis and my state finally got Medical Marijuana for people like me.

I since been using MJ for my fatigue, pain and spatiscity and to help me sleep the THC helps me sleep and with pain and I noticed by getting MJ with a higher concentrate of CBD it is a lot more effective.

I think you should consider either MJ with CBD or CBD from MJ with low THC in it witch ever you choose I think you can benefit greatly. Just make sure if you go with just CBD it works better when they extract it from actual MJ hope I have Helped. :)

          • It personally has never helped my pain. Only very high THC products, like RSO (Rick Simpson Oil) help my pain and it does get you stoned. I've only ever taken it before bed, but you're supposed to take very small doses morning and midday, with a larger dose before bed. It works more as a prophylactic, so the idea is to keep a steady level. I guess you have to learn to get your dose correct and give yourself a couple of weeks for your body to get used to it. For muscle and joint pain 1:1 THC/CBD Balm used along with THC/CBD tincture helps. All of these items must be purchased at a dispensary. I wouldn't trust CBD products not purchased from a dispensary and CBD will make you test positive for marijuana.

also have taken the cbd capsules 300 mg to be very effective on same above pain and the effect lasted for 14 hrs with just one capsule

I also tried the CBD Cream by green passage 250 mg extra strength it was rubbed on back it gave relief only for about 2 hours

will reuse the capsule because it taste better than  the oil.

husband tried both oil and capsule  same doseage as above for a severe ppain level from a very large skin graft surgical wounds and found it effective but stated it did cause nightmares or bad dreams

            Hope this helps

Unless it's from a marijuana plant, you won't notice a difference. Hemp does literally nothing whatsoever for you neither in CBD form nor in the minute percentage of THC in it. Hemp CBD is literally 100% fake, is just a scam, and the FDA and all other agencies have nothing whatsoever to do with it, nor is it approved by any either. Hemp CBD doesn't relieve pain, nor does Hemp THC get you high. That's not how hemp works, sorry. Unless you go to a local recreational marijuana shop to get your CBD, you are literally being robbed. Anyone arguing this is a liar, has no clue what they are talking about, and should do more research then just hearing it from a friend or something they found on a random Google page. I've been in the industry for over 12 years, I hope you have good luck, my friend. ✌️
