Bathroom confusion
My mom has been fighting dementia for the past 4 years. Recently she has completely forgotten what to do when using the restroom. She tries to keep her underwear on , fights me when I try to make things right. I will hand her the toilet paper and argues with me on how to use it. Any suggestions on how to make something that should be so simple less stressful?

With my dad short, simple, instructions work best. He is loosing the ability to process what is being said. Short distinct simple phrases help him. But it’s truly not easy. And something so simple that has been done countless times before. I feel for you. But you are there helping, more than most People can say. Keep doing your best. She is lucky to have you.
