Alzheimers care expense

My wife became completely bed-ridden 6 months ago after diagnosed 7 years ago. She forgot how to walk.  With her doctor's assistance, I was able to get a hospital type bed, a hydraulic lift and 2 slings so she can now be moved from bed to a chair or wheelchair and then back to bed.   Medicare and my supplemental insurance pays the entire cost of these each month. Fortunately, I purchased long term care insurance in addition to this that pays for 12 hours of home care by qualified personnel.  Overnight care is provided on an on call emergency basis since wife sleeps all night and I use a baby monitor.  Hope this helps some caregiver.  Oh, I order boxes of adult incontinent wipes from Betty Mills.  Cheaper than Walmart!
