What is Brain stroke and their types

A stroke occurs when the blood supply to one part of your brain is interrupted or reduced, depriving the brain tissue of oxygen and nutrients. In minutes, the brain cells begin to die.

A stroke is a medical emergency. Timely treatment is crucial. Early action can minimize brain damage and possible complications.

The good news is that strokes can be treated and prevented, and many fewer Americans die from stroke now than in the past.

Two types of stroke
The most common type of stroke is the symptoms of stroke , which is caused by a blood clot. A clot can form in an artery that supplies blood to the brain. A clot that forms in another place can travel through the blood vessels until it is trapped in one that supplies blood to the brain. When the blood can not reach a section of the brain, brain tissue in that area dies because it is not receiving oxygen.

In addition to blood clots, an arterial dissection can also cause an ischemic stroke. An arterial dissection is a tear in an artery that supplies blood to the brain. As a result of the rupture, blood can accumulate within the wall of the arterial vessel and cause obstruction of blood flow. This pressure can also cause the wall to explode, break or leak.

The other type of stroke is called the Lacunar stroke . This is when a weak blood vessel bursts, causing blood to build up and pressure to build up in the brain.
